Vacation Time

Oh, yes it's time! Yoli is at the beach! Yes, and eek! Yes, because I'm finally devoting time away from work and eek because I'm going to be at the beach, and what do women normally wear while on the beach (cue suspenseful music): BATHING SUITS (cue high-pitch scream, lol)! I'm a pear shaped gal, so over the weekend I was in high pursuit of finding a bathing suit to fit my curvaceous needs. I found my bathing suit on my first stop at Old Navy!

Old Navy, $44.94
I love it because I can conceal my little pooch tummy, (forgive me, I wasn't doing my crunches like I was supposed to in Fall) giving me a long lean look and it's PURPLE, my fav color. So, my greatest fear and anxiety is over, and I found my bathing suit in one store. Ladies don't be afraid like I was, go and shop for your bathing suit for your body type! Here's a link from Real Simple that may prove helpful for you while out shopping: http://www.realsimple.com/beauty-fashion/clothing/best-swimsuits-body-types-00000000032820/page3.html.

Fashionista Product Must-Have: Rotary Hole Punch

I just love it when products work! My rotary hole punch(er) is no exception to that statement! I picked it up at Micheals for $10. The best 10 bucks I ever spent - seriously I believe every fashionista should have this tool in their arsenal. It was very easy to use.

First, find the size hole you want to punch in your belt, you can do this by simply matching up the old ones with the six different hole size diameters on the hole punch (sizes ranges from 2mm - 4.8mm). Next,  select the new desired hole location on your belt. If you're anal retentive as me, you can use a tape measure to exactly mark your spot using a fine point permanent marker. Lastly, punch your marked spot! Viola, and new hole for your belt and no trips to the ER! I can't recommend this product ENOUGH! Tell us what tools you have in your fashionista arsenal that make it easier for you to stay fabulous?

{30 by 30: Hula Hoop Queen}

How you all doing on your list of activities before you BIG b-day! I was in Wally World (Walmart) this past weekend, and on the way to the lawn care section  I passed the toys, and remembered that hula hoop was one of my things to do! And, as a result this is what happened:

Silly, right? But it was so much FUN - to let your inner child come out and play! Next, you're in a department store, try it! You won't be disappointed, I promise you! LoL!

Favor Desserts Red Velvet Cupcakes

Every now and then a fashionista has to have a sugary treat. With that being said, a new bakery just opened up right around the corner from me, and I succumbed to my sweet tooth craving! Luckily, it doesn't strike that often, so I'm good. The name of the bakery is Favor Desserts where everything is made from SCRATCH. The owner is Keijuane Hester. His story is one of triumph within itself. Anyhoo, back to the cupcake. Seriously, I devoured it in 2 minutes (very primal - sorry Mr. Cupcake)! The cake portion of the cupcake was very moist and light and the cream cheese frosting was the perfect compliment (not too sweet). If you're in the Triangle definitely swing by to check Favor Desserts out! You will not be disappointed!

Red She Said

 Ahhh, the undeniable iconic red lippie - wearing it says sexy, chic, and classy all at once! I can admit that I haven't always embraced wearing red lipstick (I don't know what my problem was), and I've JUST started wearing the lippie as of late. My first purchase was Revlon's Really Red (a great inexpensive starter red lipstick by the way). I purchased mine at my local Walgreens. Revlon's Really Red is a blue based (semi) matte finish which I LOVE! Blue based reds are known for being a teeth whitener, too (another great bonus) which is another reason why you should grab a red lippie! Anyhoo, the next red lipstick in my collection is MAC's Ruby Woo (my favorite out of my collection). It too, is another matte blue based red, although word of caution it is VERY DRYING (think Sahara, people) and not as forgiving as Revlon's Red Really. You WILL need to apply lip conditioner before applying Ruby Woo (no ifs and buts about it). My next two reds are basically identical to each other as the previous two other lipsticks are as well. MAC's Lady Danger is a bright matte coral red (check out my post here) and Revlon's Really Red is a slightly darker creamy version of Lady Danger (basically a dupe). On my red lippie wish list are MAC's Russian Red (purchased), MAC Red, and Viva Glam I (purchased), So Chaud (maybe, lol). Tell us what is/are your favorite red lipstick(s)?

L to R: Revlon Really Red, MAC Ruby Woo,  MAC Lady Danger, Revlon Fire and Ice
