{HIV/AIDS Advocacy}

HIV/AIDS is a topic that I'm very passionate about, and I don’t have a problem speaking up and out about. I remember very fondly, when Magic Johnson announced that he was HIV+ in 1991 (I was a mere 9 years old), and subsequently he retired from the NBA. In my child mind, I just knew he wasn't going to be around much longer after that, but he is still with us 20 plus years later. Granted, he has more resources than the average person for superb treatment and medication, but it still remains the same that with proper care HIV is a manageable disease. Most importantly HIV is a PREVENTABLE disease, folks. Let's continue to educate about HIV/AIDS awareness! Here are some links that I have found that may prove helpful about HIV/AIDS:
